Coincidentally, today (March 1) is the anniversary of the publication (1924) of E.M. Forster's A Passage to India. Where that literary work, Forster's last, is of historical significance, Goddess, Lion, Peasant, Priest focuses on Indian artists of today (28 of them, actually!), specifically pieces from the private collection of Shelley and Donald Rubin.
In conjunction with the exhibit, OUMA is presenting its Annual Directors Gala, this year "A Taste of India," on Saturday, March 12, 2011. Tickets for this fundraiser include a champagne reception, an exclusive preview of the exhibit, a live auction, Indian dance and music performances, and a seated dinner featuring an Indian menu.
ATLANTApix of the tourATLANTA blog features a "photo-of-the-day" of Atlanta. Come back tomorrow for a new one!
