ATLANTApix: Parade, Park, and Perfect Weather

Piedmont Park Obelisk
It's going to be a beautiful weekend in Atlanta, with a Saturday and Sunday forecast in the 70s and mostly sunny.

If you're headed to Piedmont Park, a popular fair-weather destination in Atlanta, look for one of the several obelisks (photo) at the Park's entrances, which have, at their bases, maps of the Park and a listing of the various attractions within the Park, as well as some Park milestones of historic significance. There's more to do in Piedmont Park than you might think!

If you're looking for something a little more festive, the 129th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade takes place today in downtown Atlanta on Peachtree Street starting at 12:00 noon. With more than 200 attractions in the Parade and the towering Atlanta skyline, there will be lots to see and the neighboring shops, restaurants, and attractions will provide plenty to do!

ATLANTApix of the tourATLANTA blog features a "photo-of-the-day" of Atlanta. Come back tomorrow for a new one!
