Dragon*Con Parade |
Earlier this year I attended Dragon*Con for the first time (also my first Science Fiction convention ever) and I had the time of my life. Dragon*Con is held over a four day period during the U.S. Labor Day holiday weekend (September 2-5, 2011). It is billed as "the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the universe!"
One of the main attractions of the convention is the Dragon*Con Parade, which draws children of all ages, fans, and the curious, too. This photo is of some fellow Trekkers from this year's Parade.
People travel from places near and far to attend Dragon*Con...a testament of the fact that Atlanta is a "universal" tourist destination for a wide array of activities and attractions. This city welcomes one and all.
ATLANTApix of the tourATLANTA blog features a "photo-of-the-day" of Atlanta. Come back tomorrow for a new one!
