ATLANTApix: Centennial Olympic Games Museum

Centennial Olympic Games Museum
Centennial Olympic Games Museum, Atlanta History Center
Tourists and locals can all relive the glory and wonder of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Summer Games any time they want with a visit to the Centennial Olympic Games Museum at the Atlanta History Center. Those Games did a lot for the infrastructure and beautification of Atlanta.

When I previously toured the Atlanta History Center, the memories of 1996 came flooding back...the pride that Atlanta's citizens held for its beautiful city and its signature hospitality shown to visitors from all over the world was a most incredible feeling.

The two current temporary exhibitions at the Atlanta History Center are The Face of America: Early Photographic Portraits and War in our Backyards: Discovering Atlanta, 1861-1865. And while you're there, be sure to stop by the two medal-worthy historic homes on the complex, the Tullie Smith Farm and the Swan House.

ATLANTApix of the tourATLANTA blog features a "photo-of-the-day" of Atlanta. Come back tomorrow for a new one!
