"Nunsense" is Habit Forming

Marietta Theatre Company has opened their second season with the heavenly hilarious musical "Nunsense", on stage through Saturday, September 1. There are only a few performances with tickets still available. Get yours now!

Okay, okay...my title, "Nunsense is Habit Forming" is hardly original, but clever is clever. And that's not sinful. What is sinful is not laughing your ass off while watching this brilliantly delightful musical.

Here's the premise of the second longest running Off-Broadway musical comedy...

"Five of the 19 surviving Little Sisters of Hoboken, a one-time missionary order that ran a leper colony on an island south of France, discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, accidentally killed the other fifty-two residents of the convent with her tainted vichyssoise while they were off playing bingo with a group of Maryknolls. However they forgot about four of the nuns and need additional funds for a proper burial! With the deceased nuns on ice in the deep freeze, they decide to stage a variety show in the Mount Saint Helen’s School auditorium to raise the necessary amount.

The five actresses in Marietta Theatre Company's production are indeed a sisterhood. They're wonderfully synchronous and harmonize brilliantly.

My personal favorite is Sister Mary Amnesia (Sophia Decker), a Georgia native (which I didn't know before deciding she's my favorite). Sophia is a huge fan of tap dancing, which the show has! She's also a puppeteer!

The show also has ballet, danced by Sister Mary Leo (Megan Wartell), who wants to be the worlds first nun ballerina. Told you it's funny! I asked Megan if she was classically trained in ballet. She didn't break character. She totally answered as Sister Mary Leo, reiterating that she wants to be the world's first nun ballerina.

What better way to open our second season than with a production that will have audiences laughing hysterically?” said Blaine Clotfelter, president and co-founder of Marietta Theatre Company. “As an emerging theater company in Atlanta’s bustling arts scene, we are honored and humbled to have received nearly 20 Metropolitan Atlanta Theatre Award nominations for our inaugural season – more than any other theater in the region - and hope this show will set the tone for continued momentum in the year ahead.

Thank you to BRAVE PR for the tickets and for marketing such a fun show! I've worked with BRAVE PR for a number of years and they've consistently been wonderful and consistently represent their clients in the brightest limelight.

See "Nunsense" at Marietta Theatre Company now through Saturday, September 1. A lot of shows are sold out, so DO NOT WAIT!

With such an awesome season as this, consider purchasing a season subscription and save 20 percent, equivalent to the price of a single show, to enjoy all five shows in Marietta Theatre Company's 2018-2019 season, including "Nunsense", "The Toxic Avenger", "I Love You Because", "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" and "Altar Boyz".

I saw The Toxic Avenger five times at another theatre...LOVE this show! And I saw Altar Boyz at a theatre in Bethesda, MD...another fantastic show! Can hardly wait to see what Marietta Theatre Company does with them!!!

See you at the theatre!

An Andretti Checkered Flag Birthday!

For my birthday this year I was thinking about the usual visit to a fancy restaurant, which I love doing and always enjoy, but the big ol' kid in me spoke up and instead we went to Andretti Indoor Karting & Games in Marietta!

Instead of live jazz, we revved up our motors; instead of candlelight, we shot each other with lasers; instead of devouring desert, we took out dozens of zombies. It was the BEST birthday outing!

I had the great honor of attending the VIP Preview Opening of the Marietta, Georgia, location of Andretti Indoor Karting & Games some time ago, when Mario Andretti himself was in attendance!

But Mario didn't come alone. He brought with him four other professional race car drivers from the Andretti family. I met and got to talk with Mario and Marco Andretti (awesome experience), and Jarrett, John and Michael Andretti were there, too! For the first time meeting even a single professional race car driver, you can only imagine what an adrenaline rush it was to meet FIVE!

I'll come circle back to that evening...let me now tell you about my birthday!

I'd wanted to try out laser tag for years and years. Wow! What a rush!

I'm not as fit as I used to be, but put me in a 4,000 square feet laser tag arena and you'd think I was Rambo! Running, shooting...dodging, shooting...strategizing, shooting...hiding, shooting...taking a wrong turn and getting shot by a youngster half your size: Priceless!

Whether playing on a team or everyone-for-themselves, this is a must-do at Andretti Karting and something I will do every single time I go!

When telling a friend about laser tag the day after my birthday, I was asked, "Who are you? Sheldon Cooper?" I totally took that as a compliment, knowing full well that I'd worn a Star Trek t-shirt under my pullover. Just sayin'.

Dark Ride XD is Georgia's only 7D experience. That's right...not 3D, not 4D, but 7D! It's a thrill ride, a game of strategy, highly competitive, and another total adrenaline rush!

Each "game" can have up to eight participants and everyone on the outside is watching the competitors on video monitors outside the experience. There are three options: Zombies! (self explanatory, but so much more!); Gigamon (think Godzilla); and Los Banditos (a mad scientist and robot cowboys—that's not weird, right?).

Every time I've been, being a huge fan of The Walking Dead, I've opted for the Zombies! experience. Believe me, when they say 7D experience...you're going to feel all 7 dimensions! You must, must, must do this!

Andretti Karting, Marietta GA | Photo: Travis S. Taylor

There are loads of games here...more than 120, in fact! Some are totally for fun and some spit out tickets that you can exchange for prizes in their "Victory Lane" redemption center. On my birthday we only did the just-for-fun games, including taking out loads more zombies, a Star Wars fighter pilot game, and a number of others.

There are also high-tech racing simulators, an extreme ropes course (overhead the gaming area!), and lots more that I'm sure I haven't yet seen. You will not get bored here. It might take you a while to wind down when you get home, but you're zoom-zoom-zoom the whole time you're here! You've got the bars and restaurant for breaks, when and if you need a pit stop.

SkyBar | Andretti Karting, Marietta GA | Photo: Travis S. Taylor

There are multiple food and beverage (including libations) choices. At the top of the facility is their SkyBar, drenched in sky-blue lighting. On the far side, you can watch the karting racers zooming by and at the west end of the bar, just beneath the barrel roof, you can see motorists zooming by on Interstate 75.

There's also an entrance-level bar that has a great view of the gaming area and the 12-lane cosmic bowling alley

Barry had already gifted me the Andretti Karting outing for my birthday, but he took it an extra lap...he let me win our race! I'm totally fascinated with velocity (rockets, skydiving, etc.), but Barry's the speed expert...so much so that I totally get the feeling that now he has a few laps under his belt, he'll be on the winner's podium the next race.

Don't let the word "karting" fool you...these are the fastest karts in all of Georgia! And there are three tracks, each for a specific age group.

Oh...when you arrive, before you can play games or get on the race track, you have to register. Part of that process is taking a photo of yourself. Smile!...make it a great photo because it's the one that will be used on any scoreboards you might show up on. I obviously didn't learn that lesson the last time.

We went directly to Andretti Karting after work, with the intention of dining there. They have a full-service restaurant, Andretti Grill. Burning all the calories we were from laser tag and racing—and the fact that calories are non-existent on one's birthday—I had "The Humphry"...BBQ pulled pork piled on top of rich, creamy homemade macaroni and cheese

There was so much that I couldn't finish it, so I enjoyed the rest as a midnight snack. It was delicious both times! Our server was friendly and attentive...an overall great dining experience. Again, Barry treated.

My perception of this place is that it was designed more for adults, but it's totally family-friendly, too. It's a great place to hang out with friends after work or for a weekend get-together. I love the energy here...everyone is here to have a fun time and everyone I've met, visitor and staff alike, are there to support that.

Travis and Nikki | Andretti Karting, Marietta Georgia

Back to the first time I went to Andretti Karting. The evening of the VIP Preview, when Mario and family were there, I was hosted by BRAVE Public Relations (they've been wonderful to me over the years!) and my friend Nikki went with me—we were drenched by time we left, many hours and many adrenaline rushes later.

For my recent birthday, my friend Barry took me (what a great gift!). I was super excited that he was as excited about going as I was, and yes, lots more adrenaline rushes!

Just as my recent birthday was, that first time to Andretti Karting was adrenaline rush after adrenaline rush! I'm not a teenager anymore, but I certainly feel like it every time I go to Andretti Indoor Karting & Games...I can hardly wait to go again!

Head over to the wanderlust ATLANTA Facebook page for more photos from my visits to Andretti Karting!

Say "Hello!" to The Book of Mormon

I'd heard only great things about "The Book of Mormon" before I saw it at the Fox Theatre this past week. I'd been told that I would laugh from start to finish. I'd been told that if I like "South Park" that I would find "Mormon" funny. I was told "You're going to love it!"

Evidently my friends know me well. I did indeed laugh from start to finish. And it's no wonder..."The Book of Mormon" garnered 9 Tony Awards, including "Best Musical" when it opened on Broadway in 2011, and today it continues to sell out, as has its two national tours!

Those same friends, and many of the journalists whose reviews of the show I've since read, have demonstrated respect for The Book of Mormon first-timers by not sharing the jokes, by not spoiling the fun they're going to have at the show. I too will not spoil your fun by telling you what's going to happen, but I'll attempt to set the stage.

To give you an idea of the humor you'll experience all you need to know is who brought this side-splitting show to Broadway. Imagine the combined talents of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, both of South Park, with Robert Lopez, of Avenue Q, and perhaps you fathom the fun of what's been called by some as "the best musical of the century!".

As of the Atlanta 2016 run of "The Book of Mormon", Ryan Bondy is now full-time in the role of Elder Price—one of the two young Mormon missionaries sent to Uganda on a two-year recruiting mission. Ryan had been an understudy for some time, but his performance is so superb that you'd never know that he hadn't been originally cast from the beginning.

There are so many stars in this show! I originally wanted to point out two who "stole the show", but that would be an inaccuracy. Each actor brought something unique to the performance, each in a different, but equally brilliant and hilarious way. I have my favorites, though, and you will too.

Elder McKinley, portrayed by Daxton Bloomquist, performs the often-misunderstood inner struggle with one's true self vs. the expectations of family, society and church. His antics garnered some of the more uproarious laughs from the audience. I found him talented and delightfully hilarious!

There's so much to say about Candace Quarrels, who performs the role of Nabulungi, the daughter of a Ugandan village chief. Succinctly, let me just say, "Wow!" This actress is remarkable in her talent, her range, her technical execution...she's amazing! Hers is a career to watch with great anticipation. The character is naive, hopeful and full of energy and gumption.

Pay attention. You will learn a lot about Elder Cunningham, played brilliantly by Cody Jamison Strand, early on. But I want you to play close attention to the names he's calling certain characters in the show. This is a fast-paced show, but one that keeps your attention and keeps audiences seeing it again and again!

Beyond its potty humor, exaggeration of stereotypes and religious jokes, The Book of Mormon is a sophisticated musical and in many ways profound. It invites theatre-goers to look at their unquestioned beliefs through a different lens.

While the theatre was bellowing with laughter, I'm certain that Mormon may well serve as a catalyst for the opening of minds and expanding of awareness of certain social issue and prejudices. That's quite a wonderful testament if you ask me.

I'd like to offer a huge wanderlust ATLANTA "Thank you!" to BRAVE Public Relations and Broadway in Atlanta for the tickets...for this hilarious, totally awesome musical experience!

"The Book of Mormon" is onstage at the iconic Fox Theatre through Sunday, January 24, 2016. Get your tickets here. Then leave your sensibilities at the door and prepare to laugh until it hurts!

Peter Pan Flies Into Center for Puppetry Arts

You have only a few more days to see the spectacular Peter Pan onstage at the Center for Puppetry Arts. This show is perfect for the families and kids at heart! I'm a member of the latter.

Peter Pan | Center for Puppetry Arts
Peter Pan | Center for Puppetry Arts

I've seen a number of versions of Peter Pan throughout my life and just when I thought there couldn't be yet another way to (brilliantly) present the classic, the Center for Puppetry Arts again astounds.

Finding Neverland, based on J.M. Barrie's inspiration for Peter Pan the book, is one of my favorite movies. Starring Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet, when you see this movie you're going to laugh, laugh, laugh, but bring some Kleenex, too. That movie was one of the reasons I wanted to see this puppet performance...that, and being a kid at heart.

Peter Pan | Center for Puppetry Arts
Peter Pan | Center for Puppetry Arts

There are a number of different kinds of puppets used in this performance—with only five puppeteers running the entire show!—and they're all painted with black light paint, the puppets, the scenery and the props!

On a behind the scenes tour—a couple of weeks after I'd seen the performance—I made a joke about black light giving me flashbacks to the 70s. One person "got it" and we both had a nostalgic laugh.

Peter Pan | Center for Puppetry Arts
Peter Pan | Center for Puppetry Arts

One of the interesting things we learned on the tour was that the puppets, scenery and props had to be painted under black light conditions. The paint color under normal lighting looks very different from what you see during the show...it was fascinating to see first-hand! And it was awesome to see Big Ben up close!

Peter Pan | Center for Puppetry Arts

The performance I attended was a full house!

There were lots of kids and not having spent a lot of time around kids in a long time I was experiencing a little trepidation. There was a lot going on in the audience, but as soon as the show started, a blanket of quiet and calm rolled across the auditorium. I'd never seen anything quite like it.

The best part was the kids laughing in unison...there's nothing that evokes pure happiness than the authentic laughter of delighted children.

By the way, if you're a parent looking for a parent/family blogger to follow, look to my friends at 365 Atlanta Family and Field Trips with Sue...both are absolutely wonderful!

You may know that the museum at the Center for Puppetry Arts is temporarily closed for a major renovation, but their performances are still on--obviously--during said renovation.

Mark your calendars for the Grand Opening of the new museum on November 14, 2015...I've enjoyed a preview and it's world-class magnificent! Seriously...you're going to be blown away, AND there's going to be a celebrity puppet appearance!

Peter Pan, as performed at the Center for Puppetry Arts, is adapted by Michael Haverty, directed by Amy Sweeney and based on the book by J.M. Barrie.

I was so incredibly delighted by this performance. I hope you'll make time to see it this weekend.

(Thank you to Brave PR for the tickets and the wonderful experience! Allow me to remind my readers, even when treated to a performance, all opinions expressed on wanderlust ATLANTA are my own, as they always have been.)

Can't Take My Ears Off You

What do I love most about Jersey Boys? The music, of course! And it's brilliantly performed by the touring cast now onstage at the Fox Theatre through Sunday, October 11, 2015. This is a must-hear

Jersey Boys | Fox Theatre, Atlanta | Jeremy Daniel
Jersey Boys | Fox Theatre, Atlanta | Jeremy Daniel

Jersey Boys: The Story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons starts with a group blue collar performing artists singing under a street lamp...in hopes of one day making it big. The music only gets better and better and better...

Jersey Boys | Fox Theatre, Atlanta | Jeremy Daniel
Jersey Boys | Fox Theatre, Atlanta | Jeremy Daniel

Of course that entree transforms into one of the greatest performing groups of the 1960s, one that many generations since know quite well...or are at the very least are fans of their music, whether they know the name of the band or not.

Aaron De Jesus as Frankie Valli is perfect casting. His voice...that voice...takes you right back to the years when you heard that music for the first time. And I imagine his performance of the real Frankie to be perfection.

Jersey Boys | Fox Theatre, Atlanta | Jeremy Daniel

I was talking about the show with my friend Nikki after seeing it Tuesday night, and she told me about when she saw the show at the Fox Theatre a few years earlier, not sure what she was getting into...but when experiencing the show she knew song after song after song...

Jersey Boys | Fox Theatre, Atlanta | Jeremy Daniel
Jersey Boys | Fox Theatre, Atlanta | Jeremy Daniel

It was a very similar experience for me. I know the majority of The Four Seasons' music, just didn't remember that it was their music. I'm more of a movie buff, although I love music, I just don't always know the bands' names of the music I've loved over the years.

Jersey Boys | Fox Theatre, Atlanta | Jeremy Daniel
Jersey Boys | Fox Theatre, Atlanta | Jeremy Daniel

I did notice that the audience weighed more heavily on the fairer sex...there were more women in attendance than there were men. Of course that's not unexpected given the fan base of this 1960s bands. Did you know that The Four Seasons' fandom preceded the British Invasion

Jersey Boys | Fox Theatre, Atlanta | Photo: Joan Marcus

Keith Hines, who performed the role of Nick Massi, was the humor relief...a huge persona, of subtle impression, who happened to be one of the funniest in the show. I really like this character, and his brilliant acting.

Jersey Boys | Fox Theatre, Atlanta | Photo: Jeremy Daniel
Jersey Boys | Fox Theatre, Atlanta | Jersey Boys | Photo: Jeremy Daniel

The set of this show isn't anything I've not seen before, but then again I've not seen this particular show when it hit Broadway 10 years ago, so I can't say that they didn't innovate any particular aspect of the set...it's brilliant either way. I LOVE the giant comic on-screen renditions of the relative scenes in which that effect was used. Brilliant!

As a reminder, I only ever offer my genuine opinion on any performance, attraction or experience I write about. With that said, I'd like to offer BRAVE PR a "Thank You!" for the tickets to this show. It was a marvelous experience!

You can read more about this performance in this Playbill article, and be sure to read the Brett Love article in your Encore Atlanta program that you receive when attending the show.

Or better yet, make your way to the Fox Theatre to see Jersey Boys by Sunday, October 11, 2015. Your ears will love you for it!

Hockadoo! MEMPHIS is in Georgia!

"Hockadoo!"

That was Huey Calhoun's calling card, invented during his debut as a radio disc jockey. Refusing to listen to society's, "That can't be done!", Huey enthusiastically brings 'Rock-n-Roll of the South' to white listening audiences, and eventually television. And he falls in love.

MEMPHIS: The Musical | Aurora Theatre

MEMPHIS: The Musical is on stage at Aurora Theatre now through August 30, 2015. I'd been wanting to experience Aurora Theatre for a few years and what a magnificent performance for my debut in their audience. If you've not been, make time to see MEMPHIS and enjoy the fantastic Aurora, celebrating their 20th season!

MEMPHIS: The Musical | Aurora Theatre
MEMPHIS: The Musical | Aurora Theatre

The wonderfulness of this performance, of a show that's a four Tony Award-winning musical, is exponential from curtain to close that a singular writing cannot express. It's without doubt a must-see, must-experience show.

I will share, with enthusiastic applause, that Suzi Bass Award-nominee Naima Carter Russell (Felicia) is magnificent! Her performance transports you to another time, to another place, on a melody that will float your soul. This is her fourth show at Aurora Theatre and I hope she's back for many, many more!

There are so many incredible actors/singers in this show whose performance I thoroughly enjoyed. They collectively bring to the stage a Broadway-caliber performance. Allow me to name a few: Eric Moore (Bobby) has perhaps the most electrifying voice on stage—beyond brilliant, as an actor and singer! Cecile E. Washington, Jr. (Delray Jones) was incredibly convincing as his character—highly impressed! Eugene H. Russell IV, I feel like I've seen him perform before, yet this was the most delightfully surprising character—what a voice! Megan McFarland, (Gladys) who also I feel like I've seen perform before, is brilliant—so convincing that you don't like her character until the end! Xylina Stamper was my favorite (they're all magnificent) in the ensemble...enthusiastic and believable. Oh, and Edward McCreary, who I recently saw in another play not long ago, is also awesome.

Have you ever known an egosurfer? Someone who Google's themselves...Google's their name to see if they're on the Internet? Perhaps that was an early Internet term, but yes, I've been guilty of it myself. The results are much more rewarding when I couple my name with "wanderlust ATLANTA". Ego-surfing can be great fun! Just sayin'.

But the reason I mention this is because—and this was after I already had tickets—I learned just before the show that the leading man's name is Travis! Travis Smith. What I didn't expect was that the character, DJ Huey Calhoun, felt like one of your most endeared friends even before intermission. I was so caught up in everyone's performance, I didn't want an intermission. Don't you love it when brilliant acting and hip-swaying singing wholly engulfs your attention?

MEMPHIS: The Musical | Aurora Theatre

A co-production with Theatrical Outfit, the Tony Award-winning (2010, Best Musical) MEMPHIS: The Musical is running at Aurora Theatre through August 30, 2015. There will be a one-week break between performances, but do visit Aurora Theatre!

Here's another great reason to see it at Aurora. I went with my best friend Barry and we met in Lawrenceville before the show. It was the first time in downtown Lawrenceville for both of us. What a quaint and charming town! We'd planned on grabbing a bite before the show and did we ever pick the right place!

Barry was texting local friends for restaurant recommendations and I was checking out the storefronts (I totally want to go back to visit the comic book store Galactic Quest) with a grumbling belly. We went in one place that we quickly decided was too loud for catching-up conversation and went instead to Dominick's. Their tagline—Little Italy. Lotta Food.—is an absolute truth! I wholeheartedly recommend them for your dinner-and-a-show excursion!

Quickly, speaking of food, when I was in Memphis, Tennessee, many years ago, another friend and I went to the legendary Charles Vergos' Rendezvous Charcoal Ribs for some of the best BBQ I've ever had. We ordered a few slabs via mail-order not too long after we returned home. Yes...it was that good! I wish I'd experience the contemporary music scene in Memphis, but alas, that's something to look forward to. In the meantime, there's MEMPHIS: The Musical!

So that you see what an amazing treat you're in store for, here's a clip of the Broadway cast of MEMPHIS: The Musical at the 2010 Tony Awards:

I want to offer a heartfelt "Thank you" to BRAVE Public Relations for the tickets (Chelsea is awesome!) and to Aurora Theatre for the incredible hospitality (especially Jennifer, who looks remarkably like Jeri Ryan), even though they didn't know I would be writing about the experience. You guys rock!

Go see MEMPHIS: The Musical at Aurora Theatre by August 30...you're going to love it!

Keeping it real: While the complimentary tickets are greatly appreciated, all opinions are my own...I will not write about anything I don't enjoy. THIS show I wholeheartedly enjoyed!

Oh, it's time to start livin'...

Broadway in Atlanta's 2014-2015 season is going out with a bang! And some fire and some somersaults and some romance and a colossal amount of performing arts talent!

Pippin, a 2013 Tony Award-winner for Best Musical Revival, is on stage at The Fox Theatre through Sunday, May 10, 2015.

Pippin (Photo: Martha Rial)
Pippin (Photo: Martha Rial)

This was my first time seeing Pippin, and before I knew it was coming to the Fox, I really didn't know anything about it. My bad.

Pippin has a pedigree quite unique from other shows I've seen. And I'm still learning about its history, and still blown away by its current touring cast. We had the pleasure of seeing Lisa Karlin perform the role of Leading Player and  Kyle Dean Massey perform the role of Pippin. Another of my favorites was Kristine Reese who performed the role of Catherine--WOW! What an incredible voice!

In 2013, NPR shared this about Pippin:
When Pippin opened in 1972, it was a sensation. Directed and choreographed by Bob Fosse, who was coming off his Academy Award-winning film version of Cabaret, it was a showbiz triumph of jazz hands, sexy dancing and theatrical magic.

It was also the Broadway debut of 24-year-old songwriter Stephen Schwartz, who's better known these days for the global megahit Wicked. He had written a version of Pippin — about the son of medieval emperor Charlemagne — as a college musical. And Schwartz says that behind the Fosse razzmatazz, the show had a real 1960s vibe.

Pippin (Photo: Terry Shapiro)
Pippin (Photo: Terry Shapiro)

The first few minutes of the show I thought were quite silly. I sat there in terror that I might have become jaded having seen so many magnificent Broadway shows.

Then...Adrienne Barbeau!

Ms. Barbeau, who has more than 450 screen performances to her credit, set the tone for the remainder of the show when her character, Berthe, Pippin's grandmother, sang No Time at All to her grandson, Pippin. The chorus of the plot-revealing song, part of which she sang upside-down on a trapeze!—was:
Oh, it's time to start livin'
Time to take a little from this world we're given
Time to take time, cause spring will turn to fall
In just no time at all....
At the conclusion of the number, the very young soon-to-be 70 actress received a much-deserved roaring ovation.

Pippin (Photo: Terry Shapiro)
Pippin (Photo: Terry Shapiro)

Another magnificent treat was John Rubinstein, who plays Pippin's father, originated the title role in Pippin in 1972 sporting a massive lion's mane 1970s hairdo. He too has had, and continues to have, an illustrious career! He treated the audience not only to a splendid performance, but also an abundance of laughter.

The acrobatics and physical stamina of this show are exciting! It's one thing to sing and dance for a two-hour show, and it's quite another to perform breathtaking acrobatics for two hours. But to do both, with precision and finesse, is impressive! That's what the cast of Pippin did...impress me, kept me in awe, and kept me laughing for two hours.

Pippin (Photo: Terry Shapiro)
Pippin (Photo: Terry Shapiro)
I am a longtime fan of Bob Fosse choreography, so when I read and then saw Fosse-style dance in Pippin, I was thrilled. It was actually later, when researching, that I realized that he had directed the film decades ago. I'll always enjoy Fosse!

If you've never seen Pippin, I recommend adding it to your Broadway show must-see list. And you can see it right here in Atlanta through Sunday, May 10! As Berthe reminds us, "Oh, it's time to start livin'!"

There's one more show in the 2014-2015 Broadway in Atlanta series at The Fox Theatre, but you have to wait until August. And then not very much longer for a magnificent 2015-2016 season!

("Thank you" to Broadway in Atlanta and BRAVE PR for the tickets! As a reminder to my readers, my opinions and writings are fully my own.)
